Stop following me around Lars!!!

I just bought a lifetime access to chromasia.com….

I just bought a lifetime access to chromasia.com. They had a 25% discount which was around £56,-.

I’ve been watching the site for a long time now but have not bought the access. Untill now… Why? Because i strongly believe that post processing is as important as photographing. Nowadays it’s getting easier and easier to take great photos. So in order to really stand out amongst the crowd (Uncle Bob), post process is a strong weapon.

Also. I really like David’s style and way of teaching. So all in all i believe this is the best learning investment i’ve done in a long time. Time will tell ;-)

I will be posting a larger review of Chromasia. But for now i’m going back to studying at Chromasia.

Candy shots.

Shooting some candy shots;).

A local client of mine needed catalogue shots for a launch of new products. He needed them as fast as possible. Pretty simple setup. Strobes are set pretty powerfull since the camera are set @ F13.

The shots with the top lid in focus are actually taken on a bucket wher a flash was put under. The group shots were done in a pretty normal/standard way.

The trick to these catalogue-shots is to have a background that are either completely blown out or almost blown out. The clients usually requires this.

Christmas eve 2010. I got so many great shots from that evening. 99% of them have persons in focus in one way or the other. However, at some time my 2 year old son was playing with this nice chopper all by himself. He was really into it and did not notice the noisy world around him. So i got down on the floor and got this shot which i think says it all.

One of my favourite portraits from spring 2010. Anne is a 14 year old living in my town. She is so easy to photograph. I got several great shots of her during this shoot, but this one is my favourite…

Strobing snow!

My son and a friend play’d some soccer for about 5 minutes. So i quickly grabbed a SB-800 on a stand camera right @ 1/1. Wanted to see how much i could freeze the moment on the default flash-sync-speed @ 1/200. The snow and the ball clearly shows that i needed a faster shutterspeed to totally freeze the moment. But the boys were freezing and i was shooting with my Canon 5D. Canon camera and Nikon flash will not high-speed-sync ;-) .
